It was exactly 03:17 AM.
The city was asleep. Streetlights flickered under the quiet rhythm of the night, illuminating empty roads that felt like remnants of a forgotten world. While everyone else surrendered to the ordinary flow of time, one man stood outside it.
His name was Aras.
For years, Aras had dedicated his life to studying time—not as calendars or clocks, but as possibility itself. While others were content to remember the past, he searched for a way to return to it. Hidden beneath layers of secrecy, he carried a truth no one else knew:
The time machine actually worked.
But only for a few seconds.
⚙️ The First Activation
The laboratory was underground. Thick concrete walls, tangled cables, vibrating screens… At the center stood a strange metallic structure made of interlocking rings. The space inside the ring was empty, yet the air itself seemed to bend and shimmer.
With trembling hands, Aras turned the final switch.
A single sentence appeared on the monitor:
“Temporal gate opened.”
His heart pounded violently.
This jump would last only five seconds. But no human in history had ever succeeded before. If this worked, everything would change.
And yet, for the first time in his life, Aras feared something more than failure:
What if he could not return?
⏳ The First Step
He took a deep breath.
The center of the ring was no longer dark. It looked like another sky unfolding within the machine itself.
Aras stepped forward.
And in that instant,
the laboratory vanished.
🌌 Lost in Time
When he opened his eyes, his feet stood on cold stone ground. The sky above was gray. The air smelled of smoke and gunpowder. Around him, people were shouting, running—horses galloped past, panic filled the streets.
A half-burned sign hung on a broken wall:
“1871”
He had jumped backward in time.
The machine had worked.
But even as reality crashed into him, only one question echoed inside his mind:
“What about the return?”
The small control device on his wrist blinked faintly. He had five seconds to go back.
Then—
An explosion shook the street.
Aras was thrown violently onto the ground. The device struck the stone with a sharp crack.
The screen went dark.

He struggled to stand. Unknown faces surrounded him, voices speaking a language shaped by another era, another world.
He still had a time machine…
But time no longer belonged to him.
The door back to the modern world had closed.
And Aras did not yet know that this moment marked only the beginning of something far darker.
